Breakout Discussion: “A Matter of Urgency”
On Sunday, Pastor talked about The Capacity to Compel. Compel means to constrain with force; to have a sense of urgency. Tonight, we continue our discussion to develop our sense of urgency for the kingdom of God. Let us pray.
Matthew 6:33 KJV
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Mark 16:15-16 KJV
And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. [16] He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
Luke 14:23 KJV
And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.
Q1: When we hear the word “urgency” what ideas comes to mind? Who typically responds?
Q2: Because life and death are matters of urgency to God, how are we as disciples of Jesus like emergency responders in the kingdom of God?
Q3: What are some current lifestyle habits or routines that hinder us as believers from having the sense of urgency we need as to compel others into the house of God? And how can we remove these hindrances?
Benediction: Jude 1:24-25
